Captain Mick Nealey, an experienced Keys captain and guide, has launched Tranquil Adventures, a charter, tour, and cruise operation. What sets this venture apart from others, however, is that it is configured to cater to the handicapped, rather than just let them tag along if they can somehow get aboard. Nealey, founder and operator of Tranquil Adventures and a victim of polio at age 2, considers himself able bodied even though he sometimes uses a wheelchair himself. "I knew from an early age that I'd never be able to run as fast as the other kids," he said, "but I was always stronger. My disability was just never much of a consideration in my life."
